Round the corner on the south end of the coast close to Point Danger and you’ll find a walking track that takes you from the southern end of Coolangatta, through Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay and you’ll find a hidden gem of a beach just behind the Rainbow Bay Surf Club. Informally known as Froggy Beach, it’s so-named for the bright green frog painted on the rock on the hill, otherwise this is known as Greenmount Beach. This little beach is sheltered from the wind and is perfect for a picnic with the family, and because it is one of the least known beaches in the area, it’s good for sunbathing.
